
Marya Deda L.Ac., LMT
Marya Deda L.Ac., LMT is a licensed acupuncturist and massage thearpist. She specializes in shiatsu therapy, traditional and five element acupuncture, and Chinese herbs. In 2005, she graduated from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, receiving a master's degree in acupuncture and oriental medicine. Marya has extensively studied Chinese herbs and received a Diplomat in Oriental medicine from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is an active member of The American Botanical Council, an herbal medicine research organization. (In 2003 she graduated from the Oregon College of Massage.) She studied shiatsu for four years at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine and has attended many postgraduate workshops on advanced shiatsu. She continues to work as a teacher's assistant at the Oregon College if Oriental Medicine for beginning shiatsu classes. Marya Deda L.Ac., LMT works part-time at a community clinic called The Immune Enhancement Project, serving persons who are dealing with diagnoses such as cancer, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis and chronic pain. The focuses of Marya's practice are chronic headaches, chronic pain, irregular menstruation, painful menstruation, emotional issues, allergies, asthma, digestive problems and fatigue.
